David Novák
David Novák received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biochemistry at the Masaryk University in Brno, Czechia, while working on the role of vitamin D in the etiopathogenesis of selected multifactorial diseases and working on isolation and in vitro cultivation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from patients with asthma. Later, in 2019, he started his PhD in Brno under the supervision of Jan Lochman with a focus on analysing microbiome changes in biotechnological processes and human health. During his studies, David worked at the Research Center for Applied Molecular Oncology where he started to focus on transcriptomics. David joined BioTalentum in February 2023 for 10 months to pursue further bioinformatics and transcriptomics analysis as an Early Stage Researcher, part of the DohART-NET project, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. András Dinnyés.
Research focus: Characterise gene expression changes of hiPSCs in response to different toxic compounds treatments using transcriptomics.
